PEPSICO
Karishma’s paintings were Auctioned at a Charity Event sponsored by PepsiCo during the 2013 TET occasion. The event was held at The palm Garden Resorts in Danang, Vietnam. The event attracted many celebrities, philanthropists and officials from the corporate world.
3 of her paintings were auctioned for $15,000/- . The proceeds from the painting were handed over to the Quang Nam Sponsoring Association to support challenged children, medical support and heart operation of infants and other charities.

Karishma helped Lan to walk again
Lan is 27 years old, from Cantho in the Mekong Delta. Seven years ago, while working in Ho Chi Minh City, she contracted TB meningitis which left her fighting for her life and paralysed from the waist down. Her parents could not afford rehabilitation, medical care or even a wheelchair, so Lan returned to the countryside where her parents did their best to care for her at home. She stayed for many years in the same room, unable to move, until her sister brought her to Ho Chi Minh City. There Lan met a group of expatriates who raised money for her to have a wheelchair and physiotherapy. When Karishma and her parents heard about Lan’s story, they were moved to help her further.
Karishma used proceeds from her art auction to pay for a leg orthosis for Lan. This device will support Lan to walk as she becomes stronger. Karishma also paid for Lan to have an operation to cut the tendons in her groin and ankles, which will enable her to stand up more freely with the help of the orthosis. The medical experts expect Lan to walk again one day with ongoing support and physiotherapy. Karishma is delighted to help Lan on her journey…

Karishma gave me the painting before I moved from Vietnam to US. I just received Karishma’s painting entitled ‘Nostalgia’. It is absolutely stunning. The colors are so vibrant and it is beautifully framed. I love the way it looks hanging on my wall. The Blue Sky, The Orange Sun, The Green Earth. What lively colors! What bold shades! What precise strokes! What vivid patterns the creator of this scene uses to make one go dumbfounded. One might think that to view the marvelous spectacle where these three elements unify, one needs to be at a place like a hill top or a valley but the fact is, that I see this marvel daily and whenever I do, a breeze of elation envelopes me. The breeze whispers a tale of the one who created these elements and brought them together to make it a wonderful manifestation. Karishma, a miracle in literal terms is not just my sister but a budding artist. Or I dare say an “established” artist! The magic that she creates with her paintings is so peculiar.
